Do you remember?? Part 2..

Assalamualaikum...
Are you okay, today? This is the continues history of Penang. Hope you enjoy to read it.

A town was established and named Georgetown, after the Prince of Wales. The gird of this settlement was bordered by Light Street., Chulia Street, Pitt Street (Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling) and Bishop Street.

To encourage settlers, the port was accorded a duty-free status and new arrivals were allowed to claim as much land as they could clear. From virtually an uninhabited island, the population grew to 10,000 by the end of the century.

Penang became a trading post for tea, spices (clove and nutmeg from local plantations), china pepper from Acheh and textiles from India. Later on, the regional trade grew to include tin, then rubber.

It became the crossroads of great civilizations, a melting pot of the east. Traders and settlers came from Europe, India, China, the Malay Archipelago, Thailand and Burma.

Do you Remember? Part 1...

Assalamualaikum.

How are you today? I'm truly fine right here. Today I want to share some history that it's make you remember again. ^_^

This is article that I copied from Tourist Newspaper (Nov 2012). It's cost RM3.00.

The history of Penang began in 1786, when Captian Francis Light struck a deal with the Sultan of Kedah. He acquired Pulau Pinang (Penang Island) from the Sultan n behalf of the East India Company, which in return promised Kedah protection against its powerful neighbours.

By 1800, Light had also managed to negotiate for a strip of land next to th island. The place was named Province Wellesley (after the Governor of India) and is now the present Seberang Perai.

Light named the island Prince of Wales Island because the acquistion date fell on the prince's birthday. He first landed at the site of the present Esplanade. The place was then no more than a swampy, malaria-infested area. To clear the place, he loaded the ship's cannon's with the silver dollars and fired them into the jungle to encourage a faster clearing of the thick undergrowth by the labourers.

To be continued.........

Hobby!

Assalamulaikum…
How are you today? I hope you are in the pink of health. Today, I love to share something about my hobby. One of my hobbies is save money.

Money, money, money. We need to save money for our own future. This is because in case of emergency savings money can help us. This is a simple tip in saving the money.

1.   Keep a small amount into the moneybox once a week. Such as, I keep RM10 once a week.

2.   Save money at places you love to hide. This may be strange, but it is very helpful. Such as, I love to keep RM50 in my dairy book once a month.

3.   If you get a salary, save 2% from your money in your bank. Such as, I keep my 2% money in ASB. ASB is Amanah Saham Bumiputera.

4.   Save money in the moneybox to the bank every three months or when your moneybox is already full.

That’s all. I hope you will try to use my simple tips. It is very helpful. Do not forget to leave your comment and be my VIP. I will follow you back. ^_^

Finding a Job?

Assalamualaikum…

Work vs. Money. Who do you think that a person don’t want money. Money is everything for us. Now, even children also know about money. Without money, we cannot buy anything. Today, I want to share something about work vs. money. Now, if we don’t work, we could not have money, right? Think for a minute, what should we do?

This is my answer. Actually, we can work. It’s depend on ourselves what skill that we have. There are many skills we have such as teaching, singing, dancing, typing, writing and driving. Here are some tips I want to share before you choose a job?

1.    Ask yourself?
First, analyze of your skills. With that, we will know what we are interest in the work. For example, I'm interested together with children. I'd like to teach the children about the subject they are weak.

2.    Find a job.
We need information about the job that we want to do. Most importantly, it must a connection with our interest. For example, I am looking for a job to become a temporary teacher in school, tuition teacher or private tutor.

3.    Accept the job.
Before we accept the job, we must know something about the work. Such as, salary offers, our commitment and abilities. If we do not like the offer that they give, just refuse it.

4.    Work wholeheartedly.
After we accept the offer, set our mission before we do the job. It will motivate us to do the job willingly. Lastly, we will get the payment as our credit of the work.

Hope you enjoy read about this article.
